DAVID DEL VECCHIO FOR MAYOR

Endorsement alert!

US Senator cory booker endorses David Del Vecchio for Mayor of Lambertville

"David Del Vecchio is a proven progressive champion who, during his previous tenure as Mayor, enacted policies to combat climate change, preserve Lambertville’s rich history and provided strong, steady leadership to keep Lambertville moving forward.  At this critical moment in our history, David is ready to lead once again and he is the right person to guide the city out of the pandemic.  That is why I proudly and enthusiastically endorse my friend David Del Vecchio as the next Mayor of the City of Lambertville."

About David

Dear Neighbor

This year’s election is of the utmost importance to us all, so I would like to take a moment to address our community and re-introduce myself and my candidacy for Mayor of the City of Lambertville for the 2021 Democratic Primary.

The Issues

Support cannabis

My support for cannabis has been unwavering. I will work with the experts and community members to ensure that Lambertville is not left behind when it comes to bringing the marijuana industry to our city.

Legalizing marijuana received more votes than any other candidate or ballot question in the history of Lambertville. This is a matter of honoring the democratic process and the will of the people.

Stabilize Taxes

In the past two years spending has gone up 18.44% and taxes have gone up 21.5%. We have a fiscal and moral responsibility to consider the impact that this spending has on our most vulnerable populations.

Lambertville needs a proven leader with a financial background and a history of creative problem solving to address our city's fiscal future.

Stop overdevelopment

We need to end overdevelopment that is inconsistent with Lambertville's small-town values and focus on 'quality of life' issues.

We also need to refocus to reduce our carbon footprint in accordance with the Paris Agreement for Climate Change. We can't undo the past, but we can ensure that this city is prepared for the future again.

Control Spending

I will run the city budget focusing on stable taxes and providing important services. Since I left office, residents are spending more, and getting less. Trash collecting, street sweeping and filling potholes are the bread and butter of a municipality's responsibilities. Reliable services are what we all depend upon. It's time to get back to the basics.
